The Big Meet: Cumbria Arts & Culture Network – 18 September 25
The Big Meet, 18th September, 10am-2pm, Art Gene, Barrow-in-Furness
Our next Big Meet, when we get together face-to-face somewhere in Cumbria to chat, network and discuss something relevant and interesting, will be hosted by the fantastic Art Gene in Barrow on September 18th. We’d love you to join us – anyone can.
We’ll start at 1030 (refreshments from 10am) and there will be sessions throughout the morning and early afternoon. We will be joined by all three freelance Catalyst award winners to find out what they’ve done with their year, their successes and learnings, and how the residency has helped them stretch their ambitions. The meeting will be focussed on answering this question: What are the opportunities and challenges of being a freelance artist – and working with freelance artists – in Cumbria?
Lunch will be included. And in the afternoon there will be a chance to visit informally other artistic bases in Barrow too. We invite you to stay on for the re-opening of Signal’s refurbished Cooke’s Studio’s at 6pm.
