Deep Time Talk: Milk Heat – Tue Greenfort in conversation with Robert Morris-Eyton
Milk Heat – Tue Greenfort in conversation with Robert Morris-Eyton, Zoom, 25th April, 6-7:30pm
Tue Greenfort is an environmental artist and activist. His artworks have included travelling around Germany in a bus fuelled by vegetable oil, taking pictures of the sun using a camera powered by photosynthesis-generated energy, and helping art institutions lower their energy costs.
Beckside dairy and sheep Farm in Copeland has been owned by the Morris-Eyton family for over 300 years. Beckside has been keen to become more self-sustainable utilising aspects of its geographical location. The farm has cleverly employed the use of water running off Black Combe mountain to power a hydro-electric turbine, which since its completion has produced over 3.6 million kWh of electricity.
For this talk Tue and Robert will talk about their shared interest in ecology, farming and energy, how sustainability can be used to mitigate environmental impact and as a subject for art. Hosted by CACN and chaired by Aldo Rinaldi the conversation will be followed by an open Q&A session.
