How to Talk to Tiny People – free training

Come to this free training session to hear how you can get involved in increasing the understanding of creative careers among Cumbrian primary school pupils.

Following the training there will be paid opportunities for freelancers to deliver creative career workshops to primary school children from January 2026.

As part of the See It To Be It project, over the next 2 years CACN will be working with project partner The Centre for Leadership Performance (CforLP) to showcase creative careers so that more young people in Cumbria can see the range of roles open to them.

No prior experience needed – just the confidence to deliver age-appropriate workshops based on your area of creative or cultural expertise.

This training will cover:
• Overview of the Centre for Leadership Performance and their Primary School Programme
• Safeguarding considerations
• Engaging with tiny people
• Session planning and delivery ideas
• Next steps – what can you get involved with in our local schools.
