Who Is Your Client Outside the Arts? Finding and Pitching to Non-Arts Clients and Buyers

May 19 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
£15

Financially resilient artists have often done one thing differently: they’ve found at least one strong income stream somewhere outside the arts sector. Whether it’s schools, businesses, health settings, community organisations, corporate buyers or collectors there are opportunities out there and this session helps you find them, understand them, and reach them with a pitch that lands.

Book now.

What this session does

Regardless of the type of art you create, whether you’re selling a physical product, you run workshops or you’re looking for commissions we will build a detailed picture of your ideal client or buyer; specifically who they are, what they want, what’s driving them, and why you’re the right answer for them at this moment.

We’ll work on pitching and understanding how to meet the client where they are, understanding communication and how to pitch to those outside of the arts.

What you leave with

  • A clear picture of realistic non-arts client or buyer types for your specific practice
  • A one-page client and buyer map built in the session
  • A one-paragraph pitch written in your client or buyer’s language, aimed at where they are in their journey
  • One concrete next step to take within seven days

Who this is for?

Artists, makers, performers and creatives at any stage of practice who want to grow income outside the arts funding system. Whether you’re a visual artist, a crafter, a performer, a community artist or a maker, the session is designed to work across practices.

Who’s the trainer?

Sita Brand is an internationally successful performance storyteller, and founder and CEO of Settle Stories. She has also worked as a director and producer in the UK, India and South East Asia.

We do not want cost to be a barrier.  If you cannot afford the full cost, please get in touch with us at hello@cacn.co.uk.
