Writing can often feel isolating. We sit in our own rooms, working on our own projects, and sometimes it can get lonely. How can we make connections with other writers? With other professionals in the industry? With readers?

Come along to make connections with other Cumbrian writers, and to discuss some of the ways other writers make those connections beyond the Writers’ Network.

Based in Cumbria, Katie Hale is an internationally recognised novelist and poet, with over a decade’s experience of leading and facilitating creative programmes. She won a Northern Debut Award for her poetry collection, White Ghosts, and is the author of two novels: My Name is Monster, and The Edge of Solitude; as well as two poetry pamphlets. She has also written for radio, theatre and immersive digital performance.
