In the run-up to the festive season, we’re holding another online Writers’ Salon!
Come along to talk about something that fascinates you – or just come to listen, chat, and get to know other Cumbrian writers.
We’ll have four 10-minute ‘salon spots’. Rather than an open mic (where people read from their work/work-in-progress), we’d like you to talk about your work.
So your salon spot might take us through your career to date…
Or tell us about the subject areas that inform/influence your writing…
Or go in-depth about something you’re researching for your book…
Or talk us through your process…
Or outline a collaboration you’re particularly proud of…
Or choose three key projects that exemplify what you do…

We’ll pick four at random. If selected, you’ll then have the week to prepare.
Around the talks, we’ll have Q&A’s and possibly breakout rooms, where people can ask more questions, and get further discussion going.

Katie Hale won a Northern Debut Award for her poetry collection, White Ghosts, and is the author of two novels: The Edge of Solitude and My Name is Monster. She is a MacDowell Fellow, and winner of the Gulliver Travel Grant, Palette Poetry Prize, and Northern Writers’ Award.
