My practice began in Cumbria in Performing Arts & Contemporary Dance & I have worked as an interdisciplinary practitioner, choreographer & educator in higher education across the UK & Internationally since 2007. I have experience in both conservatoire settings & conventional universities & am a Fellow member of the Higher Education Academy. I hold a PgCert in Academic Practice & inform my work with practical research. I recently returned to Cumbria, to continue to forge new networks & opportunities within the county. I also work as Artistic Collaborator with Barcelona International Dance Exchange & am keen to bring opportunities for cultural exchange to the UK. My passion lies in non-conventional reimagined use of space, collaboration within communities & immersive learning. I work best in a project-to-project based context & love creative problem solving. I offer workshops across a range of subjects including contemporary dance, trust-work through contact improvisation, theatre & my own technique Kinetic Reading where language meets dance. I am happy to discuss creative ideas & specific needs to develop bespoke project design for corporate or community contexts.
