I am a professional dance and movement artist specialising in bodily awareness, creative practice, facilitation, and movement direction.

I am an experienced senior lecturer and course leader and fellow of the Higher Education Academy through my work leading BA (Hons) Dance programme at The University Of Central Lancashire.

I am passionate about the power of positive and responsive facilitation and the transformative nature of dance & movement in participatory settings. I have extensive experience working as a community dance artist in many settings, specialising in building projects within the criminal justice system and hard-to-reach communities. I use the Laban-Bartenieff Movement System to underpin all of my practice and will become a qualified movement analyst and somatic movement educator in August 2024. I founded In Movement in 2021, an embodied facilitation and leadership consultancy that supports people to harness the support of the body in communication.

My work spans across 3 key areas:

  • Movement projects that introduce participants to new ways of connecting to themselves, others and the environment, often but not always from vulnerable communities.
  • Higher Education Senior Lecturer specialising in composition, contemporary technique, dance facilitation & improvisation.
  • Embodied Facilitation & Leadership training provider, consultant & workshop lead.

My work is inclusive, trauma-informed and uses compassionate communication.
