A new directory has launched for Cumbria bands, musicians and artists. Dan Jackson, of the band Someone Else’s Radio, has put together a resource on their website for use by anyone looking for a contact within the Cumbrian music industry. From venues and promoters to radio shows, session musicians and funding, the directory is a valuable resource of anyone who might be searching for somewhere to host a gig, a contact for a festival or someone to help promote their work.

You can find the full directory here.

Dan Jackson said: “As a local band, especially starting out, it can be very difficult and time consuming researching which venues, festivals, and promoters are available in the local area. Which is an area that can easily extend to a 2 or 3 hours drive to a gig.”

“So we’ve created a local music directory. Which we wanted to share with our local music community. It is by no means a full list. But it is hopefully of use to anyone just starting out. If you have any links you would like to add, please contact us and we will do our best to add them eventually.”

If you have found the Directory helpful to find a gig, or would like Someone Else’s Radio to be your support act at your next gig, please get in touch via their website.

We have added the Local Music Directory to the Resources section of our website, where you can also find information on other organisations in Cumbria, as well as information on inclusivity, funding, business advice, and sustainability. If you have a resource that you would like to recommend, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us on hello@cacn.co.uk.
