Deep Time: Piet Oudolf’s Seed Collective in conversation with Karen Guthrie and Q&A

17 November 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Hosted by CACN via Zoom, Thursday 17 November, 6–7:30pm

CACN are pleased be hosting an online talk as part of the Deep Time project: Piet Oudolf’s Seed Collective in conversation with Karen Guthrie from Grizedale Arts.

This online event provides an opportunity to find out more about the proposal, and the ideas that led to its conception, followed by questions from the audience. SEED is one of four proposals for a landmark artwork for Copeland currently on display at Windermere Jetty Museum until 20 November following an earlier exhibition at Whitehaven’s Beacon Museum during October.

‘SEED’ is a proposal for a large-scale artwork for Copeland, developed by internationally esteemed garden designer, Piet Oudolf, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team drawn from worlds of sound design, film making, philosophy, artificial intelligence, and architecture. The proposal takes the form of a semi-submerged architectural pavilion and garden inserted into an abandoned quarry. Central to the project and inside the pavilion, visitors will experience a virtual garden designed by Piet Oudolf and his team. Tickets are free and can be booked via Eventbrite.
