The Big Meet – if you missed it, there’s a podcast available!

Much talk and discussion took place at Rheged on 1st May, when over fifty people got together to look at the question of how we can get smarter at fundraising for the arts and cultural sector in Cumbria.

Accompanied by a delicious lunch (and ducklings aplenty soaking up the sunshine outside), keynote Bernard Ross talked about being ready, being confident and being communicative.

We also heard of numerous case studies taking place across Cumbria of individuals and organisations being innovative and successful with funding bids and conversations.

Thanks to all who took part and who came along. And if you weren’t there, there’s a podcast with nine different voices on it to give you a flavour of the morning, have a listen.

We also had photographer Tom Kay there to capture a flavour of the day, take a look at his lovely images, and see if you can spot yourself! If you’d like to use any of these photos please do, making sure you credit Tom Kay / CACN.
