Our Quarterly meeting took place on 3rd March at the beautiful Annie Mawson’s Sunbeams Music Trust near Rheged. Over 50 people attended and we discussed how the Cumbrian cultural sector is meeting the challenge of the cost of living crisis with some excellent speakers; Jane Beardsworth, Miriam Randall, Katie Hale, Jack McNeill, Ifeolu Akintunde, Kate Parry, Kate Lynch, Annie Mawson, Michael McGregor.
It was wonderful to see so many of you in person and some interesting themes came out of the day including mono-cultures, the ongoing impact of Covid on venues and audiences, and the challenges of being a freelancer.
