We had a fantastic time on Saturday 14th of February welcoming over 80 people to Tullie in Carlisle for the latest Big Meet. Aimed at demystifying the culture sector in Cumbria for those aged 18-30, we were absolutely delighted by the number of people who showed up and the connections that were made on the day.
The Big Meet gave attendees the opportunity to discover more about the things you need to know about being a creative in Cumbria, from accessing funding and submitting a self assessment tax return to what goes into jobs like filming and being a freelance producer.
We heard from 17 speakers throughout the day, who all delivered some fantastic insight into their chosen topics, and attendees had the opportunity to network over lunch. We loved being able to get people together face to face, and to meet so many people who we’ve only ever known via email.
