Lucy Burnett is the published author of four works: two poetry collections with Carcanet Press, a third with Guillemot Press and a hybrid novel with Knives, Forks and Spoons. She teaches creative writing at Lancaster University, and has also worked in a range of settings within the arts industry (festival director, arts marketing, arts centre manager) in addition to working as a freelance artist and tutor for all ages (for Arvon, the Wordsworth Trust, Kirkgate Arts Centre etc). She has completed two ambitious arts outreach projects with Arts Council funding (www.scree.uk and the Through the Weather Glass installation tour), and is committed to attracting new audiences to art in innovative ways. Her own writing is interested in the relationship between art and environment / landscape, although her most recent work-in-progress is a far more personal work exploring childhood trauma. She also engages in cross-art practice, and is an established landscape and fine art photographer.
